What Samsung announcements? Galaxy S25, S25+ S25 Ultra and AI everywhere

What everyone is sure of is that Samsung should focus on the Galaxy S25/S25 Ultra. But other surprises should be added during this Galaxy Unpacked conference.

The Galaxy S25 and S25+

Logically, Samsung should unveil the Galaxy S25 and S25+. These are its high-end smartphones, with a rather compact S25 and a “ + » with a larger screen and battery. They are rumored to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite, Qualcomm’s newest and most powerful chip on Android models.

On the storage side, the capacities would range from 128 to 512 GB (from 256 GB for the Plus version), with 12 GB of random access memory (RAM). The batteries would reach 4,000 and 4,900 mAh respectively, for charging powers of 25 and 45 W.

Photo-wise, the two models would have the same configuration. Thus, we would benefit from a 50 Mpx main sensor, a 12 Mpx ultra-wide-angle, a 10 Mpx x3 telephoto lens as well as a 12 Mpx selfie camera.

The Galaxy S25 Ultra: it could be the best Android smartphone of 2025

This is the most anticipated Android smartphone of the year: the Ultra version of the Galaxy S. This Galaxy S25 Ultra would also be entitled to the Snapdragon 8 Elite. Its storage capacity could, however, increase to 1 TB. As for the battery, it would be 5,000 mAh and with 45 W charging.

It is for its photo component that we are waiting for this S25 Ultra, however. According to rumors, it would be equipped with an impressive 200 Mpx main sensor, a 50 Mpx ultra-wide-angle, a 10 Mpx x3 telephoto lens, a 50 Mpx x5 telephoto lens as well as a 12 MP selfie camera. All in a large 6.9-inch smartphone, with a stylus integrated into the body of the phone.

The arrival of One UI 7

These three smartphones would arrive under Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7 overlay. They should benefit from seven years of updates for the operating system as well as security patches. With this new version of the interface, we can think that Samsung would present new Galaxy AI artificial intelligence features.

In reality, the deployment of One UI 7 has already started at the end of 2024, bringing a new design and other widgets.

A Galaxy Ring 2? It doesn’t seem planned

During its Galaxy Unpacked in January 2024, Samsung formalized the Galaxy Ring, its first connected ring. A product that was only released in the summer. A very expensive little gem and not without some flaws.

It seems that the manufacturer is planning a sequel to this ring. But, due to the little information circulating, it would be surprising if Samsung talked about it during its conference.

Where are Moohan glasses?

A month ago, Samsung and Google unveiled their Vision Pro competitor, the Moohan project. This is a mixed reality headset running Android XR, a version of Android dedicated to VR headsets. However, it was only a prototype.

Samsung could tell us more about the Moohan project during Galaxy Unpacked. However, the product does not seem mature enough for marketing in the coming months. What Samsung could decide is to talk about it this Wednesday, then launch it during the next Galaxy Unpacked.

This should take place in July 2024, in parallel with the announcement of the potential Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7. Another hypothesis: Samsung connected glasses. These ” Galaxy Glasses » could be presented by Samsung this Wednesday.
