Donald Trump announced the creation of a technology giant dedicated to Artificial Intelligence called Stargate.
US President Donald Trump announced on Tuesday a $500 billion private investment plan in infrastructure to artificial intelligence (IA). OpenAI (creator of ChatGPT), SoftBank et Oracle plan to set up a joint venture called Stargate and have already committed to an initial investment of $100 billion. The company will be based in Texas, including the construction of data centers.
The companies then plan to invest up to $500 billion over the next four years. This announcement comes after the cancellation of a decree signed by Donald Trump’s predecessor, Democrat Joe Bidenwhich aimed to reduce the risks posed by AI to consumers, workers and national security.

AI requires enormous computing powerwhich stimulates the demand for data centers specialized (data centers). “They need to produce a lot of electricity, and we will make it very easy for them to do that in their own factories if they want to.”said Donald Trump. Donald Trump assured that the creation of “Stargate” would create “almost immediately more than 100,000 jobs” in the United States. The objective is to build the next generation of AI and to be the leader in this rapidly developing sector, particularly in relation to China.
The Republican had promised during the 2016 presidential campaign an infrastructure upgrade program of 1,000 billion dollars (962.19 billion euros) during his first term (2017-2021), which never materialized .
