Brazil

Brazil will try to retain their title won at home at the Rio 2016 Games. A young star named Neymar allowed the Selection to win the first Olympic gold medal in its history. In Tokyo this summer, players like Douglas Luiz or former Barcelona player Dani Alves will try to do it again.

Since 2019, André Jardine has been working to form a team capable of going for gold in Japan. His group is made up of players who have worn the Brazilian jersey in different age categories but who have also shone in the biggest European clubs like Bruno Guimaraes (Olympique Lyonnais), Gabriel (Arsenal), (Ajax Amsterdam) or Matheus Cunha (Hertha Berlin).

Paulinho, Richarlison and Gabriel Martinelli are players who will need to be particularly monitored at the Tokyo 2020 Games in 2021.

The midfielder then signed for Aston Villa where he came into his own. His performances in the Premier League allowed him to play with the A selection. The 23-year-old was part of the Brazilian squad that reached the final of the Copa América. After a few days of rest, he headed to Tokyo for a new challenge: the Olympic Games.
