After several round-the-clock interviews with investigators from the Special Cybercrime Division, the former Minister Advisor under the Macky Sall era, Oumar Sow was placed in police custody. He is accused of having made a speech likely to incite ethnic discrimination.
The public prosecutor took action following a post by the former minister published on his social networks following the 125 billion affair in which Farba Ngom was cited.
In this post which he deleted, Oumar Sow accused Ousmane Sonko and Pastef of attacking the Peulhs. Notwithstanding this suppression, the prosecutor ordered his arrest.
-Assisted by his lawyers Aboubacry Barro and Alassane Cissé, Oumar Sow declared that his publication was not understood and that he did not want to say what he is accused of.
Mr. Sow could be brought before the public prosecutor tomorrow, Wednesday, according to Seneweb.
