The Ottawa Senators are at Madison Square Garden to face the New York Rangers on Tuesday evening starting at 7 p.m. (ET). In this second of three meetings between the two teams this season, the Senators will be looking for a third straight victory.
Fans can follow tonight’s game on TSN5 or RDS2 or listen to the live description on TSN 1200 or Unique FM radio.
The Senators enter tonight’s game having won their last two games, most recently a 2-1 victory over the Devils in New Jersey. Forward Zack Ostapchuk scored his first career NHL goal while defenseman Artem Zub scored the winning goal with his second goal of the season. Anton Forsberg was brilliant in net, stopping 25 of 26 shots for a .962 save percentage.
The Senators and Rangers met once this year, on November 1, when the Senators lost 2-1. Adam Gaudette scored the only goal for the Senators while goaltender Igor Shesterkin made the difference by making 40 saves on the Senators’ 41 shots for the New York victory.
-New York arrives for tonight’s game after losing its last game Sunday on the Montreal Canadiens’ ice by a score of 5-4 in overtime. Despite this recent defeat, the Rangers have done a little better in recent weeks, having won four of their last six games. This Tuesday match will be a good test for the Senators who are also doing well in these times.
