Caniggia, an iconic figure in Argentine football, had a significant period at River from 1988 to 1991, during which he helped the club win prestigious titles such as the Copa Libertadores and the Intercontinental Cup.

His foray into sports management aims to leverage his reputation and vast network of contacts to promote the careers of young talents. Recently, he was spotted in Córdoba alongside Pedro Troglio, who was introduced as the new Instituto coach, replacing Diego Davobe.

Marcelo Gallardo’s team is set to play its second friendly match of the year this Tuesday against the Mexican national team at the famous Monumental Stadium.
