The alert was given at the beginning of the afternoon, this Monday, January 20, 2025. The refrigerated trailer of a truck was on fire. The driver parked his convoy in an emergency area on the A9, near Fabrègues, along the emergency lane. The firefighters put out the fire. Road traffic is disrupted.

The fire started at the rear of the refrigerated trailer and quickly spread to the wheels of the vehicle.
-In the meantime, the driver of the heavy goods vehicle was able to park his vehicle in an emergency area and then separate the burning trailer from the tractor.
This semi-trailer transports 20 tonnes of frozen fish. It is currently blocked near Fabrègues, between Montpellier and Sète on the A9. This seriously disrupts traffic in the direction of Béziers, even if traffic is not interrupted.
Emergency services are on site and have extinguished the fire. The fire was limited to the axle and wheels of the trailer. The cargo was saved and taken care of by the gendarmerie.
By 4 p.m., traffic was fully reopened. Be careful though of traffic jams between Montpellier and Sète.
