MISCELLANEOUS FACTS – A possible outcome, more than thirty years after the events. Monique Olivier, the ex-wife of serial killer Michel Fourniret, confessed to having participated in the kidnapping and murder of Lydie Logé in December 1993, we learned this Monday, January 20. These confessions open an important new page in the investigation. They follow the ambiguous statements made by Michel Fourniret on this subject in 2019, two years before his death.

Lydie Logé disappeared a few days before Christmas, on December 18, 1993, in her small village Orne, in Saint-Christophe-le-Jajolet. Aged 29, she was returning from shopping at the time of the incident, according to the investigation.

Despite searches, his body was never found. But in 2019, fingerprint analyzes made it possible to reopen the investigation: traces of Lydie Logé’s DNA were found in the van of serial killer Michel Fourniret.

Monique Olivier taken to Orne this Tuesday

Questioned several times about this kidnapping, the Ogre of the Ardennes had made partial confessions in 2019, before his death in 2021. Only his ex-wife, Monique Olivier could provide the elements to unblock the affair, and find the body of Lydie Logé. The latter finally gave in, during questioning by the judge last May, reports RTL this Monday, January 20.
