One Piece Creator Reveals How Strong These Two Characters Are

Spoiler Alert

The following lines contain some spoilers for the latest chapters of One Piece. If you have not read the final twists in the plot, there is still time not to continue reading this article in order to preserve the suspense!

Eiichiro Oda always manages to surprise his fans, and the mangaka will undoubtedly prove it once again with the Erbaf arc, the second arc of the final saga which begins in chapter 1126 of the colossal work. On social networks, countless fans are already on the war footing to try to guess the future twists and turns and revelations which will undoubtedly punctuate the next chapters. What’s funny is that the mangaka has inserted just the right amount of clues and insinuations on past panels to authenticate one of the most popular One Piece theories; that of the evil twin of Shanks !

A character who has been asking questions for a long time

If the hypothesis of Shanks’ twin is confirmed and made official during the Erbaf arc, it is because Oda has definitely been carefully spinning this surprise for ages. It is in fact on the last page of scan 907 that we see the one we think is Shanks appear in front of the Deans. But the mangaka manages this appearance very intelligently, on the one hand by remaining very evasive about its motive, but also by only showing the right side of the face… Consequently, it is impossible to see the scar which would immediately ensure that the character in question be Shanks!

It was during chapter 1134, a few years later, that Oda put an end to the fans’ torment by confirming this theory: it is indeed a twin of Shanks who goes to Erbaf, to reach a certain Loki.

An immensely powerful twin?

At the time of writing, it is difficult to surmise the power of this mysterious clone. Shanks is a strong and above all very emblematic character, certainly, but what about the potential of his twin? We have not yet seen him fight or use his Devil Fruit, and we do not yet fully know the ins and outs of his objective. We know that he is part of the Divine Knights, an influential order which mechanically places him at a high rank within the World Government.

But we can even go further in the suppositions: following the promotion of Figarland Garling, the place of leader of the Divine Knights is perhaps vacant… And who better than the one who was chosen to master Loki could inherit of this title?

By the way, chapter 1136 contains threats from the Divine Knights against Loki. However, the latter has quite a bounty on his head, and logically enjoys incredible power. Therefore, it can be assumed that Shanks’ twin is at least as strong as Loki, if he dares to threaten him in this way.

Here are the 5 most WTF weapons in One Piece

When used correctly, some original Devil Fruits can become powerful weapons. But Oda sometimes went very far to find his ideas and thus designed tools that were certainly deadly, but extremely bizarre.
