Like the last few days, the day starts in gray. It comes in the form of low clouds, mists, sometimes fog which can still be icing locally, be careful when traveling with reduced visibility and sometimes slippery roads.
This afternoon, the low clouds should break up. Of course, other clouds take over at altitude, however we can hope that this thinner cloud layer offers us more brightness than in recent days.
Temperatures will rise again at the end of the week, but for the moment, the cold is resisting. -3 to 1°C inland this morning, locally -4°C. On the seaside count on -1 and 0°C.
Minimal increase in maximum temperatures today. Météo France announces 2 to 5°C.
What to expect this week ?
Mardi : The morning grays will still be present. However, their dissipation will be much more widespread than in recent days. We should therefore benefit from clearings which will allow the maximum temperatures to gain a few degrees with 5 to 7°C. On the other hand, the minimums will remain wintery with -3 to -1°C.
Wednesday : After a relatively sunny break, it will be the return of unsettled weather. The sky looks gray and slightly rainy during the day but the rain will pick up more force in the evening. The gentle air from the disturbance will allow the atmosphere to soften : -1 to 2°C for mini, 6 to 9°C for maxi.
THURSDAY : Transition day? While waiting for the next rainy deterioration which could arrive at the end of the day, the weather will become drier again with clearings. The wind from the southwest will be weak to moderate and temperatures will be 2 to 4°C in the morning, 8 and 9°C in the afternoon. Confidence index of 3 out of 5 until Saturday inclusive.
-Friday : Rain and wind, that’s the weather menu for the day. You guessed it, the day will be rough (moderate to fairly strong wind) and rainy. Temperatures of 3 to 5°C to start the day, rising sharply in the afternoon with 9 to 11°C.
What does the last weekend of January have in store for us? ?
SATURDAY : Sky favorable for showers, especially in the morning. All accompanied by a wind that is still quite strong. Minimums of 5 to 7°C, maximums of 9 and 10°C.
Sunday : Showers this time throughout the day. Cloudiness will remain present as will the wind, which is still noticeable. Temperatures will change little compared to the day before. Trust rating of 2 out of 5.
Air quality will be degraded to poor again today in the region. The influence of the anticyclone present for several days and the meteorological parameters favor the accumulation of pollutants in the air, in particular the PM2.5 particles responsible for the index of January 20. Tip of the day from ATMO Hauts-de-France : when driving, remember to turn off your engine, even during brief stops, in order to save fuel and limit pollutant emissions.
But also to the Bastien, Fabien, without forgetting the Fabienne.
