It’s the home stretch for Ebony and Franck. The semi-finalists of the week will soon be decided on their fate in season 12 of the Star Academy. Who will earn their place in the final against Marine, who already qualified against Charles last week? Who will see the adventure come to an abrupt end at the gates of the finale? While waiting for the verdict, the week was rich in emotions for the academicians. Ebony and Franck, between two intensive rehearsals, were able to leave the castle for a day. Thus, Ebony went to Île-Saint-Denis where she found her father, the singer Thierry Cham, as well as her mother who had surprised her with his arrival from Martinique where she lives. For his part, Franck went to Bagneux where he also gave a concert in front of his fans. By winning the evaluations of the week, Ebony had won the right to bring back a former candidate to share a duet on the prime. The latter did not look far since she chose Charles. Last week, he himself won this advantage. He had chosen Noah, one of his best adventure friends.

While Ebony left to join Charles at the castle foyer to share a dinner with him, but also and above all to rehearse the duet that they will perform this Saturday, January 18, Marine asked the semi-finalist: “Can you ask him to say hello at the window?“. As soon as they reunited with the 18-year-old Breton, they repeated their song: Writing’s on the Wall by Sam Smith. For her part, Marine, in the kitchen of the castle, who surely heard the duo’s vocalizations, exclaimed: “Franck, I’m warning you, I’m going to go there. I don’t care!“. Before adding, a few seconds later: “I swear, I’m going to run there. Who’s going to tackle me to the ground anyway? No one!“. The semi-finalist replied to Marine: “You’re going nowhere, stop!”.

Marine insisted, Franck tried to resist before finally giving in. The dental student explained her plan to Franck: “We go there, we run, we come back, we just give him a hug and we leave! One life as you say! Who will stop us?“. The two friends, as expected, jumped into Charles’ arms. “But no, I’m shocked!” Ebony commented. After a few compliments on Charles’ appearance, the two friends left. In the confessional, they tried to justify themselves: “It’s true that it’s only been a week since he left, but knowing that he’s there, a few meters away, here we want to break the rules“explained Marine. Frank added: “So Michael Goldman, you’ll excuse us but there you have it, we had to do the right thing and at that time, it was the right thing to do. No regrets. It’s better to live with remorse than with regrets“.
