The Boxers find their way to victory at Mériadeck

For some time now for the Boxers, results have been better away than at home where they lost to , , and went for victory in and .

This meeting almost started like the one against Nice with the visitors opening the score in the first minutes but the public heaved a sigh of relief when the goal was canceled for “high cross”. However, a note of freshness enveloped the audience at the ice rink, leading them to ask questions about the outcome of the meeting which had difficulty choosing a winner. We had to wait until almost the end of the second period to finally see the first achievement of the Boxers on their second power play, the latter being validated offering breathing space to the Boxers supporters. However, the game was very committed and lively at the pace shown but this was due to the solidity of the defenses and the tightness of the goalkeepers often put to work early in this meeting.

Butterfly under threat

From the start of the third period the Boxers added an achievement but the visitors did not give up and held on as much as possible to manage to come back two minutes later, erasing the two to zero. All they had to do was erase this small goal lead from the locals to get back into equality. They will try everything they will not succeed even playing in an empty cage which they had to interrupt following a foul and they had to bring back their goalkeeper Antti Karjalainen who had a great match with 33 saves during this meeting , for his part Quentin Papillon managed 22 showing that exerted strong pressure throughout the meeting. The Boxers maintain their third place in the standings with two small points ahead of Rouen who are struggling this season to reach the top. From what we saw in this match, we have the impression that this modest tenth place in the ranking does not really fit with what she was able to show on the ice at Mériadeck.

Karjaleinen concedes his second goal (we see the puck at the bottom of the net halfway up)
