A violent fire took place this Saturday in Neder-Over-Heembeek, rue des Bons Enfants near the Zavelput stop. The Brussels firefighters intervened. “Two gas cylinders exploded on the terrace” of the 4th floor, report the firefighters.
The fire was quickly brought under control. “Fortunately no injuries to report,” reassures the fire department spokesperson. “Four apartments in the building are uninhabitable. The window frame of an apartment in the neighboring building was also blown out by the force of the detonation. The residents are being cared for by the family, the police and the municipal services.”
