Keys, 14th in the world at the WTA, will face Kazakhstan’s Elena Rybakina, seeded No. 6, in the round of 16 of the Australian Open.
Madison Keys eliminated Ann Li (6-4, 7-5), and Romanian qualifier Elena-Gabriela Ruse (7-6 [1]2-6, 7-5), in the previous rounds of the Australian Grand Slam.
