Corsica is placed on orange “rain-flood” vigilance from Saturday evening

Due to the passage of the Gabri depression into Corsica, its two departments are placed on orange “rain-flood” alert on Saturday January 18, from the early evening, Météo reported in its latest bulletin. The alert begins at 8 p.m. in Corse-du-Sud and at 10 p.m. in Haute-Corse. The rain-storm degradation will affect the south of the island late Saturday afternoon before extending to a large eastern half of the island during the night from Saturday to Sunday and Sunday.said the meteorological organization.

According to Météo France, accumulations between “150 and 220 mm” are expected in the lands of the island of beauty. On the coast, this range is of the order of “40 to 60mm”. This vigilance must, for now, end on Sunday at 4 p.m.
