Following the agreement between Israel and Hamas, a list of Israeli hostages was published. Three hostages are expected to return to Israel this Sunday.
Hostages apparently soon released. Among them, the Franco-Israelis Ohad Yahalomi and Ofer Kalderon. The latter’s uncle received confirmation this Friday morning. After 15 months of waiting and disappointed hopes, he displays fearful caution. “I think I’m afraid to believe it,” admits his father. The latter admits that he will only be relieved once his son kisses his children.
Today, Benjamin Netanyahu’s cabinet gave the green light to the ceasefire. The first three Israeli captives could be released on Sunday compared to 95 Palestinian prisoners. The hostages will be transferred from the south of the Gaza Strip to the Kibbutz of Reim for initial medical examinations, then they will be evacuated by helicopter to hospitals in Tel Aviv. One floor is ready with individual rooms, decorated with warm words displayed on the walls. Doctors are preparing to welcome men and women who are physically and psychologically weakened after 15 months of captivity.
