The Saint-Jérôme Fire Department received a call at 8:19 a.m. for a building fire at 59 rue Brière. Around twenty firefighters attended the scene, including colleagues from Mirabel and Saint-Hippolyte.

The flames were brought under control after approximately three hours as firefighters left the scene around 11:30 a.m. in the morning. As of this writing, investigators are still on site to determine the causes of the event.

On our airwaves, Chief Robillard of the Saint-Jérôme Fire Department gives us more details regarding the ongoing investigation while the theory of arson cannot be ruled out for the moment.
