The Parisian cathedral, which has barely reopened, is full: 860,000 people have already visited Notre-Dame during the first month of opening, from December 16, 2024, or 29,000 visitors on average per day. Welcomed by volunteers dedicated to reception, visitors often share their emotions linked to their memory of the fire, says Sybille Bellamy-Brown. Then they admire the beauty of the monument, its incredible lighting, the color of the chapels, as well as the work of the companions: “They come to meet us, needing an almost intimate conversation about their relationship with Notre-Dame”
