Last minute registration
The investigation was opened in June 2023 after the complaint filed by environmental activist Claire Monod against the registration of Sandrine Rousseau on the electoral lists in Paris. Claire Monod's candidacy for nomination for the EELV legislative elections in 2022 had been rejected in favor of that of Sandrine Rousseau, while the latter “lives, works and advocates in Lille since the 2000s“, according to the complaint.
According to France 2Sandrine Rousseau provided the town hall of the 13th arrondissement with a certificate of insurance for housing in which she did not live in March 2022, three days before the closing of registrations on the electoral lists and the validation of her party's nominations.
