Apple has shown incredible imagination for the second season of its series “Severance”, employing various promotional strategies in recent days. The week obviously ends in apotheosis, with the official launch of season 2 on Apple TV+ with the first episode available. Yes, just one episode!
A hell of a promotion
Initially, Apple started with an immersive installation at Grand Central Terminal of New York, with a transparent cube where actors, playing Lumon employees, could be seen working at their desks. This cube was decorated with the series’ return date, January 17, and the Apple TV+ logo. Director Ben Stiller made an appearance at this event, adding to the impact of the promotion.
Subsequently, Apple introduced interactive panels on its apple.com homepage, featuring elements from the series. One panel mimics an Apple product screen with a Lumon terminal for fine-tuning macro data, while another depicts a room filled with balloons depicting the face of Mark Scout, the series’ crew chief, referencing a scene from memorable hallway.

Critics have reacted positively to the second season of “Severance,” which has a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Critics praise the expansion of the series’ unique science fiction concept, highlighting its ability to keep viewers interested with unexpected twists and turns.
