It is a fire which broke out Thursday evening, around 5:30 p.m., and which has not yet been completely extinguished. Since yesterday evening, Côte-d’Or firefighters have been responding to a fire in an agricultural shed measuring 800 m2 and containing 600 tonnes of fodder in the town of Beaulieu.

At the height of the intervention, 47 firefighters from the centers of Baigneux-lès-Juifs, Châtillon-sur-Seine, Montigny-sur-Aube, Recey-Leuglay, Gevrey-Chambertin, Grancey-le-Château, Aiserey and Aignay- le-Duc who have moved.

Power cut and not restored for the time being

HAS When help arrived, the entire hangar was engulfed in flames and threatened an annex building. A high-voltage power line – supplying 28 residents of the village – overlooks the disaster. To ensure the safety of firefighters, the power was cut. The power supply to the line has since been cut off.

According to information from the firefighters, solutions are being put in place this morning, in consultation with the town hall and ERDF to restore power to homes.

No casualties

The emergency services made it possible to quickly contain the outbreak, thus limiting the spread. No casualties have been reported.

Currently, the fire has significantly decreased in intensity. The fodder is consumed. The metal structure of the hangar has clearly collapsed.

A monitoring system is put in place

Finally, a monitoring system is put in place. According to Sdis 21, the intervention will last a long time.
