Belinda Bencic qualifies after retirement

Belinda Bencic will play in the third week at the Australian Open. The 27-year-old Saint-Galloise, number 294 at the WTA, benefited from the retirement of the Japanese Naomi Osaka (27 years old/WTA 51) after the first set to reach the round of 16. Bencic won the first set in the tie-break (7-3 in the deciding game.
