The village village hall was copiously filled last Sunday, on the occasion of the general assembly of the Mirabelais Circle of Elders. The opportunity for President M.-A. Guittierrez to present his wishes before detailing the results of the past year.
A year 2024 marked in particular by several outings: in Portugal, in the heart of the Algarve, with Faro, Tavira, Sagrès, and getaway to Lisbon. Then stay in Sète, in the land of Georges Brassens, to discover old rigging on the occasion of the great Festival of Maritime Traditions. Finally, a getaway to Royan and its surroundings with visits to the island of Oléron, La Rochelle, La Palmyre (and its superb zoo), Brouage, the oyster beds… and great tastings! Also on the program for the past year, the traditional lotteries, of which there were three, which were a real success, a real financial lifeblood of the association. The monthly belote competitions were well attended (between 28 and 33 teams). Don’t forget the Friday outings, beautiful hikes masterfully led by Jean-Louis, and the convincing results of the women’s pétanque team.

The association presented a very detailed financial report, with the aim of preserving its sustainability by being reasonable given the number of members, certainly substantial, but also modest if we look at the surrounding senior associations. The year 2025 will continue on the same register. The organization of the various outings is being studied; the first is recorded, it will be a question of going to discover Corsica from the month of May.
-At the end of this high-class meeting, the president invited the participants to have an aperitif (offered by the municipality) and to share a succulent meal expertly prepared by Cédric, local caterer, and his team.
The association asks you to reserve its first two dates: Sunday January 26 at 2:30 p.m., for its lotto, in the village hall, and Tuesday January 28 at 2:30 p.m., for the monthly belote competition, still in the party room. holidays.
