Hans “Hausi” Leutenegger, self-made millionaire and entrepreneur, celebrates his 85th birthday. The Thurgovian looks back on an eventful life.

Today, Hausi Leutenegger celebrates his 85th birthday. At the same time, his company Hans Leutenegger AG is celebrating its 60th anniversary.

According to “Car-tours.ch”, the company today employs more than 1,000 people and achieves an annual turnover of around 100 million francs. Leutenegger, known for his self-confidence, has a positive outlook on his life.

The “Handelszeitung” mentions that at the age of 22 he was still selling pots and mixers in trade fairs. In 1965 he founded Hans Leutenegger AG, as he explains on his website.

The path to success has not always been easy. Leutenegger remembers the times when he was mistrusted.

Despite the initial difficulties, he emphasized in an interview with “Schweizer Illustrierte”: “The money made me happy. » He particularly appreciates the opportunity to take care of those around him.

On his homepage he talks about his Olympic victory in four-man bobsleigh in 1972 and his film career with around 35 international productions. This versatility has made him a well-known personality in Switzerland.
