California in flames, the Sussexes on alert. Fires ravaging Los Angeles threaten Montecito, where Meghan and Harry live. Between power cuts and evacuation instructions, the couple reacts to the threat.
California is in a state of emergency. For several days, violent winds have fanned the fires which mercilessly devour hectares of forests, homes and memories of thousands of families, including celebrities. Los Angeles is suffocating and Montecito, the haven of peace where Meghan and Harry settled in 2020, is not immune to this anxiety. For good reason, the Sussex mansion is nestled far too close to the red zone. A place subject to drastic measures.
According to The Mirror, “for public safety”, several precautionary outages were imposed in Santa Barbara County. Nothing to reassure either the Sussexes or the rest of the locals. It must be said that with a frightening toll of 30,000 evacuations, 24 deaths and more than 12,000 houses destroyed to date, the threat hanging over the royal couple and their children, Archie and Lilibet, seem more real than ever.
Fires in Los Angeles: an imminent evacuation for Meghan and Harry?
Until now, the Sussex couple had been spared from natural disastersso much so that they were able to afford to visit the victims to help them. But today, the emergency is taking a more pressing turn. According to Hello!the violent winds of Santa Ana risk pushing the flames towards their gigantic property worth tens of millions of dollars. Although Montecito remains out of the most dangerous zone for now, local firefighters warn: “Be vigilant”. They also emphasize the need to “prepare now” and to be “ready to evacuate” in case of emergency.
A message relayed on social networks, accompanied by striking images of the flames which progress relentlessly. Harry and Meghan would therefore be about to pack their bags. “Under these conditions, fires will grow quickly and behave erratically”specify the local authorities. A real catastrophe for thousands of Americans!
