Pierre Palmade has been incarcerated since December 9 at Bordeaux-Gradignan prison. But on January 13, an incident could have compromised his security, revealed RTL.
Since December 9, Pierre Palmade has been serving his two-year prison sentence in Bordeaux-Gradignan. Several media outlets denounce the conditions of detention of the comedian who reportedly lives in the most dilapidated building in the prison. Indeed, Muriel Robin’s former sidekick is serving his sentence in a six square meter cell with a rusty bed, opaque windows, water leaks, blocked toilets, and very little heating. But according to information from RTL, an incident that could compromise his security occurred Monday January 13 at the end of the afternoon. Pierre Palmade was surprised and even worried to see a guard he did not know open his cell, a prison source told RTL. He tells her that he is a staff representative. “ In fact, since he arrived, he has always been around the same agents », Specifies the media.
While this may come as a surprise, Pierre Palmade’s isolation is not unprecedented. As the prison director explained to France 5, it is a mandatory step for all new arrivals, for their protection but also that of the establishment. But the rules of isolation are very strict. “ On the video surveillance tapes, we can also see the gate which separates the solitary confinement area from the rest of the detention, remaining open, just like another cell in the same area, which is strictly prohibited. », explained RTL. Nothing happened before the doors were closed but they should never have been opened like this. Pierre Palmade was thus exposed to the risk of being attacked by another detainee.
