An air hostess working with Air India Express was arrested at Kannur airport for allegedly smuggling gold and hiding it in her rectum.
Specifically, according to India’s Directorate of Monetary Intelligence (DRI), authorities discovered that this flight attendant was hiding 960 g of mixed gold in her rectum.
According to the investigating agency, air hostess Surabhi Khatun was specially trained to smuggle nearly a kilo of gold by hiding it in her rectum. They came to this conclusion because an untrained person could not hide that much gold in their body.
There was nothing unusual in Khatun’s walk or behavior. Additionally, the body will try to eliminate the foreign body, which is why people like Khatun are specially trained to control this for many hours.
Surabhi Khatun was a flight attendant on the Air India flight from Muscat to Kannur. India’s intelligence agency says air hostesses have been arrested for gold smuggling, but this is the first case in India where an air hostess attempted to smuggle gold smuggled by inserting it into his rectum.
Indian media added that flight attendant Surabhi Khatun is 26 years old and lives in Kolkata. She is famous for her beauty and often shares photos of her luxurious life on social media. If the above mission goes well, she will receive a generous remuneration.
DRI sources said police arrested a man named Suhail on suspicion of being the mastermind behind the incident. This person carried out more than 20 cases of gold smuggling through flight attendants.
Previously, in 2020, in India, it was recorded that a male passenger, departing from Kannur airport to Dubai, hid 1 kg of gold bars in his rectum.
