Ons Jabeur, 39th WTA will face Colombian Maria Camila Osorio Serrano, 59th WTA in the 2nd round of the Australian Open.
The Tunisian tennis player made her debut by easily qualifying for the second round following her victory against the Ukrainian Anhelina Kalinina in two sets (6-3, 6-3). But she will have to be wary of the Colombian, who, for her part, eliminated the Greek Maria Sakkari (30th) in three sets (6-4, 6-7, 6-4).
Ons Jabeur leaves with a psychological advantage against Maria Camila Osorio Serrano whom she beat four times during their four previous confrontations, in 2021 for the 2nd round of the US Open, in 2023 for the 1st round of the US Open, then last year at Roland-Garros (2nd round) and Nottingham (1st round).
