Following Diontae Johnson’s NFL season is no easy feat. Now the receiver is back with the Baltimore Ravens who claimed him off waivers on Wednesday.
However, this decision won’t be official until after the Super Bowl, so he wouldn’t be able to join the team by the end of the playoffs. However, he could be recognized as a possible free agent.
The Houston Texans placed Johnson on waivers Tuesday. He was visibly frustrated in the team’s locker room despite the playoff victory over the Los Angeles Chargers. He was dressed and seemed to be complaining about his usage and involvement in the game plan.
He was limited to three catches and 24 yards in two games with the Texans, who themselves claimed the receiver on waivers after being placed there by… the Ravens on December 23.
He previously refused to enter a game against the Philadelphia Eagles.
-The Ravens acquired him from the Carolina Panthers on October 29. He was only on the field for 39 Ravens plays and he caught just one pass for six yards.
The receiver joined the Panthers after a trade with the Pittsburgh Steelers before the season. He did well in Carolina with 257 yards and three touchdowns.
The Ravens will be in action this Sunday at 6:30 p.m. (RDS2) against the Buffalo Bills with a place in the American Association final at stake.
