Following the intervention of firefighters at Bernard-Gariépy Secondary School on Tuesday, the Sorel-Tracy School Service Center began assessing the damage to the building this Wednesday morning. The analysis will continue throughout the day. Since Tuesday, a crisis unit has been coordinating operations and preparing various scenarios to ensure a rapid return of students to class. Parents and students are asked not to come to school. Access to the building remains restricted for security reasons. The School Service Center salutes the exemplary collaboration of students and the dedication of employees during the evacuation. He also thanks his valuable partners: the City of Sorel-Tracy, the Protection and Emergency Response Service of the City of Sorel-Tracy and the Cégep de Sorel-Tracy. They declared the fire fully contained at 8:18 p.m.
