According to our information, the young man was at his home in the town center of Mont-de-Marsan when an altercation, initially physical, took place with the victim. He then grabbed a rifle and fired in his direction while he was in the street.
Under house arrest, without a residence permit, he was subject to an Obligation to leave French territory (OQTF). He had lived in France for more than seven years. Little known to the justice system, the accused was convicted in 2022 for non-compliance with road laws. He denies any involvement in this attempted murder.
