The Norwegian footballer chose tennis as his favorite sport apart from football and opted for the two Spaniards as his favorites.
Michu is not the only Spanish athlete idolized by Erling Haaland. The Norwegian striker was asked by TNT Sports about what other sports he follows outside of football. The Manchester City striker has turned to tennis. When asked to choose a favorite tennis player, the forward replied: “Nadal, but he’s already retired.”
Haaland then opted for Carlos Alcaraz: “The Spaniard, Alcaraz.” Considering his nationality, he also mentioned his compatriot Casper Ruud, who, like Alcaraz, has a special bond with Nadal, since he has been training for years at the former Spanish champion’s academy in Manacor.
