The man in his thirties lost control of his car due to the ice and hit the tractor which was coming the wrong way.
A man in his thirties died on Wednesday January 15, around 7:30 a.m., following a head-on collision with a tractor on the RD207, near Krautergersheim, according to information from Latest News of Alsace , confirmed by the gendarmerie at BFM Alsace.
The motorist lost control of his car due to the ice and hit the tractor which was coming the wrong way. He died instantly. The tractor driver was not injured.
Bas-Rhin on ice alert
The Bas-Rhin department has been placed on yellow “snow-ice” alert since 2 a.m. The prefecture recommends that motorists limit their travel.
