What reinforcement to ensure maintenance: a former Genk and Antwerp about to join Saint-Trond – All football

Saint-Truiden is showing itself to be quite active in this transfer window to leave the red zone. The Canaries are poised to attract a new day of experience.

After Didier Lamkel Zé, Saint-Trond is preparing to add another choice reinforcement. According to Het Nieuwsblad, STVV has reached a personal agreement with Simen Juklerod.

The 30-year-old full-back is currently training in Valerenga, Norway. This is where he was already playing (the team was then managed by a certain Ronny Deila) before joining theAntwerp in July 2018.

Still in great shape

At Bosuil, the Norwegian international immediately managed to establish himself as a starter. Whether under the orders of Laszlö Bölöni or Ivan Leko, he distinguished himself by his incessant comings and goings on the flank.

The native of Baerum then went to Genk, where things went much less well, which pushed him to return to Valerenga. At 30 years old, he remains in the best season of his career, with no less than 11 assists in the Norwegian first division.

The idea is to bring him to Stayen in the form of a permanent transfer. Saint-Trond is currently two points behind Cercle de Bruges, the first team outside the red zone, the arrival of Juklerod would certainly be a significant reinforcement in this fight for maintenance.
