According to new leaks, the official presentation of the Nintendo Switch 2 is close. The meeting could take place on January 16, 2025. The information comes from the podcast Nate the Hate, often well informed on Nintendo products.

If this date is correct, it will mark the start of a new era for Nintendo, putting an end to months of incessant rumors surrounding this console. Many things have been reported about him. According to an employee of Micromania in France, the beauty will be marketed at €399 while its games will be positioned between €69 and €79.
Nintendo would also have planned a limited edition including a pre-installed game. The title is not known but speculation is based on an opus from the Mario or Mario Kart series. As for the Nintendo Switch Online service, a price increase seems inevitable, although the amount remains unknown.
The leaks also mention 25 titles ready on D-day to accompany the release of the console. The list does not yet have game names but they could include iconic franchises like The Legend of Zelda, Pokémon, or even new surprises.
While waiting for official release, Nintendo has committed to unveiling the Switch 2 by March 31, 2025 at the latest.

In terms of hardware, rumors point to a customized version of NVIDIA’s Jetson Orin SoC for this Switch 2, known under the code name T239. This processor would represent a significant technological leap compared to the current Tegra X1. This last chip is at the heart of the Switch.
The new chip is said to feature 12 Cortex-A78AE cores, LPDDR5 memory, and an Ampere GPU with 1,536 CUDA cores. The whole thing should offer better performance and energy efficiency, two essential qualities for mobile games.
