Tennis – Australian Open 2025: Borges beats Thompson
The Portuguese Nuno Borges silenced the ranks of the Australian public this Wednesday. He deprived one of his favorites, the No. 27 seed Jordan Thompson, from the third round (6-3, 6-2, 6-4).
Borges, the first unseeded player in the table as 33rd in the ATP world, will face the Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, seeded n°3.
The Portuguese won against the Frenchman Alexandre Muller (6-7 [2]6-3, 6-2, 7-5), before his success against Thompson.
