Broadcast this Sunday, January 12, 2025, the subject in which Anne recounted having been taken out of 800,000 euros by a scammer posing as the actor is no longer available. In question, the cyberharassment that his testimony triggered.

Cybercriminals are proliferating and with them, the number of scams is ever more spectacular. Thus the one of which Anne was the victim, the subject of a report broadcast last Sunday in “Sept à quatre”, which went viral in a few hours, but which TF1 has just withdrawn from its replay offer. For 22 minutes, in front of the camera, the victim recounted how she had been taken from 830,000 euros in a few months by an unknown person posing as Brad Pitt.

The story is argued, accompanied by montages and videos that the criminal had sent him, as well as numerous screenshots of emails and text messages. Hard to believe for some. It’s hard not to be convinced for others. Including Anne, who allowed herself to be fooled, seduced and manipulated. Why did the front page make the decision to extract the subject from the show?

The decision was taken by mutual agreement between the channel and the production company. It comes from the avalanche of mocking reactions generated towards the victim. To our colleagues at Parisianthe Elephant company explained: “Anne was the subject of denigration on social networks and we therefore decided that it was better to delete the replay”.

The channel went further on “an information program that deals neutrally with social problems. The report broadcast this Sunday sparked a wave of harassment against a witness. For the protection of victims, we have decided to remove it from our platforms”. For the victim, this is what we call double punishment.

Even the Charente-Maritime gendarmerie saw fit to take advantage of this sordid story to recall the importance of its awareness campaign against cybercrime. “This woman who fell in love with a fake Brad Pitt would certainly not have been fooled if she was subscribed to our account… Thanks to our advice, you are out of danger! Isn’t it? » can we read on the institution’s social network.
