Curling: cleared of doping charges, Canadian curler Briane Harris is back

Canadian curler Briane Harris will be able to return to the game immediately, after an absence of almost a year.

Her lawyer said she learned of the decision from the Court of Arbitration for Sport on Tuesday morning.

Harris had a positive drug test in January 2024 for a negligible amount of ligandrol, a banned substance.

She received the results of this anti-doping test conducted outside of a competition venue in mid-February, and since that time she has been the subject of a provisional suspension.

A CAS judge determined that Harris committed no wrongdoing or negligent act in this matter, and as a result there would be “no period of suspension.”

Harris plays for Team Kerri Einarson.
