Always looking for new talents to expand its offensive sector, RB Leipzig have reportedly set their sights on Noah Okafor. According to several sources, discussions between the two parties are at an advanced stage.

Recruited by AC Milan (Italy) in July 2023 to strengthen its squad, Noah Okafor, 24, has not yet found his full potential in Serie A. Since the start of the season, the Swiss international has participated in 11 league games, scoring one goal, but never played a full match. A situation which pushes the former Red Bull Salzburg (Austria) player to consider a new challenge to relaunch his career.

Trained at FC Basel, Okafor exploded onto the European scene after his transfer to Red Bull Salzburg in January 2020. During his three seasons in Austria, he stood out for his versatility, playing both up front and as a forward. left or right winger. His athletic qualities, notably his speed and ability to smash through opposing defenses, allowed him to score 34 goals and deliver 23 assists in 110 matches in all competitions.

This rise opened the doors to the Swiss national team, with which he already has 24 caps and 2 goals. Okafor notably participated in Euro 2021 and the 2022 World Cup, where he was a valuable asset for the Nati.

For RB Leipzig, the arrival of Okafor would be a strategic operation. With important deadlines coming up in the Bundesliga and Champions League, the RBL is looking to strengthen its attack, particularly after the departure of Christopher Nkunku last summer. Okafor, with his versatility and international experience, could therefore become a key element in Marco Rose’s system. If the agreement were to be finalized, this transfer would mark a return to his roots for the player, who had already played in the Red Bull universe with Salzburg.
