Cà Mau (VNA) – A campaign against the illegal use of wildlife was launched on Tuesday (January 14) by the People’s Committee of U Minh District in Cà Mau Province, Mekong Delta, in collaboration with Save Vietnam’s Wildlife (SVW).

The campaign aims to combat poaching and wildlife trafficking and ensure food safety in catering establishments and restaurants.

In his opening speech, Chairman of the District People’s Committee Huynh Minh Nguyen urged local sectors, businesses and residents to respond to the campaign, stressing that the initiative should be seen as a responsibility and duty shared interests of every individual and organization in the protection of nature and public health, and the promotion of a healthy and sustainable business environment.

U Minh District is home to U Minh Ha National Park which strictly manages and conserves biodiversity, including many rare wildlife species prioritized for protection and prohibited from exploitation, trade and consumption in any form. either.
