Pronostic ATP Open d’Australie

The Dane Holger Rune will begin his Australian Open on Tuesday morning with a first round against the Chinese Zhizhen Zhang.

At the end of a difficult 2024 financial year with checkered results during major tournaments, a declining level of play and a fall beyond the top 10 in the rankings, Holger Rune has been looking for himself for several months. But the Dane had finished well the previous year with semi-finals in Basel and at the Masters 1000 at Bercy, and will now want to attack 2025 in the same way he concluded the previous one. However, the Scandinavian missed his return two weeks ago in Brisbane with an elimination in the first round against Jiri Lehecka. Since then, Holger Rune has been preparing in his corner to arrive in good shape in Melbourne and this Tuesday morning, the Dane will be able to test himself against Zhizhen Zhang.

The Chinese will already be a revealing first match for the Scandinavian. 49th in the ATP, the Asian tennis player had started 2024 well before collapsing over the year with 5 consecutive first round eliminations. Have things changed in 2025? It seems not since Zhizhen Zhang entered Adelaide last week and did not make it past the first round, falling victim to Denis Shapovalov’s rule. A start which did not reassure the Chinese before arriving in Melbourne with now 6 defeats in a row in tournaments.
