Traffic info: the strike causes big traffic jams, here’s where it gets stuck

A first accident

An accident occurred in the Liège region on the E42 Liège-Namur-Mons near Grâce-Hollogne in the direction of Mons (right lane).

The lines are always very large towards the Capital:

  • +20 minutes at the end of the E40 coming from Liège and that coming from Ghent.
  • +30 minutes on the E411 Namur-Brussels including 20 following the Wavre construction site. Not far from there, you add 20 minutes on the Nationale 25 between Court-Saint-Etienne and Corroy-le-Grand.

Good news: no accidents on our roads for the moment.

The longest lines are still on the outer ring where you now have to add 25 minutes between Jette and Anderlecht- towards the Forest bend.

  • On the outer ring road between Lille and La Hulpe towards Carrefour Léonard.

  • Sur la E19 between Zemst and Machelen versus Capitale

06h31

First disturbances

If you are traveling on the A12 coming from Antwerp, a tree has fallen on the road near Meise towards Brussels.

Start of slowdowns on the Brussels inner ring road between Strombeek-Bever and Machelen towards Zaventem then between Wezembeek-Oppem and Tervuren towards Waterloo. Outdoors between Dilbeek and Anderlecht-Nord towards Halle.

On this day of national strike, the police recommend not coming to Brussels by car, even if the alternatives are quite limited given the disruptions on the STIB and SNCB networks or a strike notice period lasting until 10 p.m.

Nothing to report

No incidents on our roads this Monday morning.

On the other hand, and they have followed one another since last week, the IRM issued a yellow alert for slippery conditions which was valid tonight and Monday morning until 11 a.m.

Cumulative fog alert of one second for lower and middle Belgium.

So be extra careful on the roads.
