Firefighters from the Bouches-du-Rhône department responded to an explosion which occurred in Carry-le-Rouet, in Bouches-du-Rhône, avenue Jean-Baptiste Grimaldi. A house was partially destroyed, but “no fire followed this explosion, which appears to be due to gas”specify firefighters 13, confirming information from La Provence.
Seven people were inside the home when the explosion occurred. Three people were injured, two slightly and one more seriously. They were all taken care of by the Bouches-du-Rhône firefighters. According to a neighbor, who was able to speak with two of the residents of the house, “under the rubble, unfortunately, there is a dog and two cats, which could not be saved. At the time of the explosion, the residents were able to take shelter at the back of the house and get out, not their pets.”
The origin of the explosion was due to gas. A large part of the house is destroyed. The residents will have to be relocated. An investigation has been opened to determine the causes of this gas explosion.
