An investigation into the causes of death was opened after the death, Friday afternoon, of a 26-year-old young woman in the emergency room of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges hospital (Val-de-Marne), clarified on Saturday January 11 the Créteil public prosecutor’s office, requested by Agence France-Presse (AFP). The investigations were entrusted to the personal crime suppression brigade of the Paris judicial police and an autopsy is planned in the coming days, added the prosecution.
“The intercommunal hospital center of Villeneuve-Saint-Georges confirms having reported to the police the unexplained death of a woman present in the premises of the adult emergency reception service of the hospital”declared the management of the establishment in a press release sent to AFP, without making further comments.
The young woman entered the emergency room during the night from Wednesday to Thursday and was due to leave the hospital Thursday evening, but she remained sleeping in the emergency waiting room, the prosecution said.
