A traffic accident involving a single vehicle occurred this Thursday, May 8, 2025 around 6:30 a.m. on the D10 departmental road, near Saint-Félix-de-Rieutord, in Ariège.
According to information provided by the Departmental Fire and Rescue Service (SDIS 09), the intervention required the deployment of four rescue and victims assistance vehicles (VSAV), a road rescue vehicle (VSR) as well as a group leader.
Disturbed traffic
Five people were involved in the accident. Also according to SDIS 09, “four victims were transported to the inter -municipal hospital center of the Ariège valleys (Chiva)” to receive care. The state of health of the persons concerned has not been specified.
Traffic was disrupted on this axis throughout the duration of the intervention, before a gradual return to normal at the end of the morning.
An investigation should be opened to determine the exact circumstances of this accident.
