Lhe Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky declared this Saturday, January 11, on his X account, that two North Korean soldiers had been intercepted and questioned by the Ukrainian authorities.
“Our soldiers captured North Korean soldiers in the Kursk region. Two soldiers, although injured, survived and were transported to kyiv, where they are currently interacting with Ukrainian security services. This was not an easy task: Russian and other North Korean military forces typically execute their wounded to erase any evidence of North Korea’s involvement in the war against Ukraine,” he wrote.
Volodymyr Zelensky allowed journalists to meet these two soldiers, because he believes that “the world must know the truth about what is happening”. “Like all prisoners of war, these two North Korean soldiers are receiving the necessary medical assistance,” he said.
