During Real Madrid’s victory against Mallorca, Aurélien Tchouaméni was one of the main players. Author of a solid performance, the midfielder, repositioned in central defense for a few matches, had to leave prematurely.
After a collision with Cyle Larin at the start of the second half, Tchouaméni hit his shoulder and found himself on the ground, visibly stunned. A few minutes later he was replaced by Raúl Asencio.
After the meeting, Tchouaméni spoke to clarify the situation, particularly with regard to Pablo Maffeo whose name has been on everyone’s lips since Thursday evening because he provoked his counterpart throughout the meeting.
“I know there is a player from Mallorca who we always have problems with in every match. The players got angry, but the main thing is to win. In the end, it doesn’t matter. What matters is victory,” he declared in the mixed zone, a statement relayed by AS.
The midfielder insisted the team did not want to give too much attention to the altercation, preferring to focus on the outcome of the match.
-Regarding the incident with Larin, Tchouaméni explained: “The doctors advised me to leave the field, because it could be more serious. Now the goal is to recover quickly and prepare for the next match.”
The French player left the field under his own power, although visibly defeated, because he hoped to be able to continue the match. His teammate Antonio Rüdiger, who supported him throughout the match, gave him encouragement when he saw him leave the field.
This premature exit of Tchouaméni could add to a long list of concerns for Carlo Ancelotti. Indeed, after the match, the coach revealed that Bellingham and Valverde were experiencing pain in their adductor muscles, while Modric, who was out of this match due to a virus, remains uncertain for Sunday’s final.
