A motorist tried everything to escape the police on January 2 in Yvelines. While the police wanted to control him in Guyancourt, he fled and embarked on a crazy chase to Clamart (Hauts-de-Seine), report our colleagues from 78 Actu. The 43-year-old man, with an already extensive criminal record, was tried on Monday January 6 by the Versailles court.
During his journey, the driver notably zigzagged between vehicles on the A86 motorway and happily exceeded the speed limits. A “Homeric” escape according to the words of the president of the court, all at the wheel of a Renault Twingo.
Tested positive for narcotics
The driver finished his race after 15 kilometers, hitting five cars waiting at the red light. He was then intercepted by a police officer while trying to escape on foot.
The man tested positive for drugs and officers found a gun in his car. Already convicted for similar acts, but also for attempted murder, the defendant was sentenced to two and a half years in prison.
