On Tuesday, a state of emergency was declared in Los Angeles, accompanied by an obligation to evacuate, due to the violent forest fires which are devastating the popular suburb of Palisades, an area where many Hollywood celebrities have taken up residence. Potentially affected stars include Ben Affleck, Jamie Lee Curtis, Tom Hanks and Steven Spielberg, among others, who face losing their belongings as the flames, fanned by strong winds, advance dangerously towards their lavish properties.
