Death of Jean-Marie Le Pen: “good winds, good seas Papa”… his daughter Marine reacts for the first time

Less than 24 hours after the announcement of death of the former leader of the National Front At the age of 96, his daughter, Marine Le Pen, reacted for the first time this Wednesday morning on the social network X (formerly Twitter). An expected reaction after those of many politicians the day before.

“A venerable age had taken the warrior but had given us back our father. Death came to take him back from us”begins the three-time presidential candidate.

“Many people he loves are waiting for him up there. Many people who love him are mourning him down here,” then writes the leader of the RN before concluding by adding: “Good winds, good seas, Dad!”.

“You will not be able to console me for this sorrow”

The day before, Marine Le Pen learned the news on board a plane connecting Mayotte to the mainland.

Her sister Marie-Caroline also published a tribute on her X account. A photo of her, as a child, in her father’s arms, followed by the comment: “You will not be able to console me for this sorrow. To God, Papa.”

Jean-Marie Le Pen will be buried in La Trinité-sur-mer this Saturday, January 11.
